At Sewing Seams Rhoda is a ‘fitting’ owner for a sewing and clothing alteration business having worked locally and internationally in the industry over a lifetime career. With experience in pattern making, creating samples for designers, and creating high-end designer garments for well-known international labels as well as working in factories making combat clothing and managing a sewing shop, she is the best accessory your clothes could want. Rhoda has a particular passion for remodelling and restyling clothing so don’t let go of your pre-loved clothing yet, they could get a whole new lease on life.
Monique
Manager
Monique combines her love of all things creative with sewing and prides herself on finding creative solutions to any sewing problem. Monique has had a lifelong sewing hobby and has honed her beading and decorative sewing skills while specialising in belly dancing costume design and construction. With sewing skills which are adaptable to any project Monique has a particular passion for repairs and anything sparkly.
Naomi
Sewing Specialist
Naomi has a family background in the upholstery industry and moved from recreational sewing to sewing specialist when she made a career change from working in a childcare setting. Naomi loves working with people and is the queen of greeting people to Sewing Seams at the front counter. She is excellent at repairing, re-using, repurposing, and reviving items.
Amanda
Sewing Specialist
Amanda unpicked herself from a long career in admin roles to stitch herself into a new role at Sewing Seams. With a lifetime of recreational sewing experience which included concept and design of costumes, Amanda has excellent skills to bring to the team at Sewing Seams. Amanda enjoys providing trouser shortening, adjustments, repairs, and darning.
